RYT-200 | Frequently Asked Questions

What style of yoga and lineage is taught by CircuSoul Yoga?

Our lineage is outlined on our RYT200 Lineage page. As you will read there, we are heavily influenced by BKS Iyengar Therapeutic Yoga as taught by Mylinda Morales & the Jason Crandell Method and Yin Yoga as taught by Joe Barnett (Senior teacher for Paul Grilley). Ashtanga means “eight limbed” and it is not what most Westerners think of when they hear “Ashtanga”; this usually conjures images of challenging sequences fathered by Pattabi Jois. While you will learn how to create vinyasa flows (poses that flow together, linked with the breath), and you may decide to make them a challenging sequence (or even a faster paced sequence), a ‘workout’ is not our primary focus. Our goal is to teach you to offer mutli-level hatha yoga classes that encompass all eight limbs, including breath work and meditation. This means you will be taught to cater to both the least physically fit person in the room and the athletes in the room in the same class. You will learn to offer modifications that make the poses easier and options that make the poses more challenging. We’ll teach you how to meet people where they are; meaning we show you how to ease students into the eight limbs in a way that feels comfortable for them. Once you understand the basics of making yoga accessible to anyone, yet challenging enough for more advanced students, you’ll be able to decide if you want to offer more specialized classes that cater to a specific group, such as athletes, seniors or meditators. We equip you with the tools you’ll need to grow your teaching skills in any direction you’d like! See “ Lineage and Class Styles” on our RYT-200 registration page.

What is the refund policy?

All deposits are non-refundable. There are no refunds on any continuing education courses unless we cancel the course. This is because we make a decision as to whether or not to hold a course based upon enrollment. Once we are committed, we incur expenses. For distance study courses, there are no refunds. Once someone has the materials, we can’t refund fees because we have upheld our commitment by providing the learning materials. For live RYT-200 courses, you can receive a refund up to 30 days before the start of the event. If you cancel with less than 30 days, no refund will be given. Other live RYT course refund policy is outlined below. Outside of this, no refunds are granted because we have saved a spot for you and can’t always fill it without adequate time. However, if circumstances warrant, we may offer a student an opportunity to use some of their funds toward another training date. For example, if a student becomes ill or has a family emergency, we will work with the student on a case by case basis. In these situations, we strive to find a solution that is fair to the student and our business. If we cancel any class, students will receive a 100% refund.
